Ok the unsonnetness and shakiness bothered me enough that I made a corrected version: http://youtu.be/-qzqIHj4uGI
Look, this is what happens when you wake up way too early on Higgs Boson Day, and accidentally make a video while still snuggled in bed. You forget what sonnet form is, you forget about gravity, and suddenly there's this video on the internet and it's your fault.
According to an online article,
We now have found a Higgs-like particle.
It is a Boson, we're 5-sigma sure.
5-sigma's an extraordinary score.
133 times heavier than a proton,
Is the mass of our beloved boson:`
125.3 gigaelectronvolts.
We're seeing the universe's nuts and bolts.
The standard model's other bosons be:
Photons, gluons, W, and Z.
These five together cause all of the force
That's found inside the universe, of course.
So what gives mass to heavy things like pigs?
It is our new discovery: the Higgs.
-like particle.

I'd like to add to that that the Michelson experiment proved that there is no Aether which was also as significant as if they'd had discovered Aether. Also the experiment was the inspiration for modern interferometers. The basic idea of the apparatus of the Michelson experiment is used in Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy which is a powerfull tool to analyse light. Which let's us analyse the light of venus and find the composition of it's atmosphere for example.

some CERN guy or other person related on twitter said something like the uk found it, when CERN has multiple researchers from multiple nationalities investing the research something like a snarky comment towards America something like: "The UK found the particle, what are you doing America?" I'm sure it was much different from what I quoted but it was pretty much the same thing. Actually It was more like: "The UK found the higgs boson while the Americans are eating hotdogs"

I was expecting that at least on a science channel people to be interested about science! But maybe just because the videos are done by a sexy-smart girl, the rooster in guys starts chanting the arrogant nationalist song accusing each other of the bad politics running in the other country!

I wasn't trying to suggest you were suggesting anything anti-patriotic at all. I'm actually a bit concerned my response looks very anti-American, which it wasn't really intended to be.

You think you are this amazing country that has proudly defeated every country in wars and that every over country is lesser.
You don't understand that you were created by a Mighty Empire that didn't find the states cost effective so the Brits there wanted independence so while the actual British empire fought the French (an actual country at this time which has about a billion times more culture and history then your colony) they put up a small resistance from the rebels in the Americas.
