My grandmother who was a "flapper" in the 20s, had a fox fur that you wore around the neck where the mouth bit the tail to secure it. ( the head was still there with marbles for eyes and clasp in the mouth area) rather bizarre I thought but we wore bell bottom trousers then too....LOL
