We had a plan to go to the range on Saturday but the weather took a rather interesting turn Friday night. IT SNOWED! So the range was practically empty, only 1 group of 3 there besides us! This was the most fun I have had at the range in a LONG time, the snow just made it over the top. We were shooting the M1 and thinking . . . this must of been how it was like at the Battle of the Bulge.
I am sporting the Original Machanix Gloves (as reviewed by nutnfancy, mine are just not the Tactical ones so have white emblems). My thoughts: These are great gloves at a great price. When combined with some Under Armour glove liners they were also surprisingly warm. I could load the M1 clips, my little .22LR revolver, and my 10/22 mags easily and quickly even with the gloves on. I was hoping to have my EvilRoy Practice target for this weekend but much to my disappointment its due to come in later than I expected.
Guns Fired: 1944 M1 Garand, Early 1980s Ruger 10/22 with TechSights TSR200 AR15 Style Sights (GREAT Sights by the way!), H&R Model 623 .22LR Revolver, and my friends Glock 19. I will be picking up my SIG P226 Classic on the 20th, and I cant wait!
I didnt have much time to put into the video (the semester is winding down in a fury) so its just a quick video of some action. I hope to narrate and actually add some production value on the next one, you know actually talk about whats going on and such. I might even try my hand at a quick review on the incoming SIG Classic.
And a good time was had by all..Merry Christmas! =) -- Veri (Nutn's sister)
