Gotta hand it to the man this man has great charisma. To be a US president it is all about the charisma. Even if you don't like his policies or whatever he is damn charismatic. I could never imagine David Cameron doing this with such panaché in the UK.

Mitt Romney stood for the America of the 1950s; a socially-conservative era where basically only white women were shown in the media, and when Western men were under enormous social pressures to reserve themselves for these females.

Obama's victory demonstrates that there's a growing group of white men who don't want a return to those old times at all. As a white guy in an interracial relationship myself, I can certainly understand why.
