The animation illustrates human stories of migrants and the main messages of the Report. The content of the stories are short pieces and interviews commissioned by HDRO around the world.
@maldamot : firstly, its not only the best labour that moves. next, poor countries are underdeveloped not because of migration but because of poor governance. next, remittances forms the major part of the support system of the communities back home. finally, only developed countries complain, but what about the migration that caused most of them to colonize African, Asian and South American countries?
@heinzie5 : why not better for the destination country? migration exposes u 2 new cultures.
never mind which pact supported it, or what side of the political ideology you feel you belong to!! not many people want to leave their homeland (so many examples in history as well as in contemporary world). so its a trade off between pull and push factors that compels a person to leave.
wouldnt all of us leave at the scent of a better opportunity? so migration is good, isnt it?
people worried abt collapse of labour markets should ask their govt.s to implement an effective wage policy :P
these issues are a lot more complex than this video makes them look. moving to another place is NOT the solution to all of life's problems. In fact, urbanization and migration out of rural and village lifestyles is one of the leading causes of language and culture loss (not to mention pollution and environmental degredation) in the developing world. I'm not saying it's bad, but just look a little deeper before believing this silly little video and all its propaganda.
I support equal income from birth for all and the irradication of inequality. But also I consider the animals, too. And of course as I said already - we must consider the global human population size, too. And of course no holocaust methods or any other inhumane methods to be used on people or animals. Animals aren't the problem by the way. No it's people that are the problem - how they don't live fairly and how they keep breeding as they are currently doing.
People, people, people, people. What about the animals of this world? No consideration is given to the animals. It's just people, people, people. Yes, the world human population is far too high. Deal with the real issue instead of using band aids.
yes I do. and dont try and say anything about your coment not being communist. The whole idea of freedom of movement for all goes against any capitalist system. What would hapen if labour markets were flooded by imagrents who offered cheaper work? The whole system would collapse and public servecis would be placed under huge stain. And the communist refrence may be a bit out of date but the Warsaw pact famously "allowed" open migration between its member states

oh, well i'm not talking about employment etc i'm sorry.
but my views are not communist simply for wanting freedom. a maximum interference the government have on our private life is not communist.
