This was our first trial where we traveled over an hour to arrive at the trial site AND where we stayed the weekend in a hotel! I wasn't sure how Angel was going to handle the 5 hour drive (10 hours both ways) and spending the night in an unfamiliar place, but she acted like an old pro. She was quiet in the car and after about 15 minutes in the hotel room she settled down and started chewing on a bone.

For the first part of the weekend we did awesome! On Friday and Saturday we q'ed in all of our runs (8 total)... a few were not the prettiest (due to my, umm, very very poor handling skills ;) but most of them were fast and fluid runs. On Sunday, I was waaay tired and it was pretty obvious. One run I wasn't even watching her... but we finished out the day with 2 Qs out of 6 runs. Also, another brag: she didn't knock any bars the whole weekend! Normally for NADAC she really flattens out when she jumps, thus the bars go down, but I have really been working with her on jumping style and it shows! Oh yeah, we finished our NAC title!

Seizure Update: In February, she started having a bunch of seizures again and we upped her phenobarbittol dosage. The seizures continued... she was at her maximum level of phenobarbittol (meaning we could not up her dosage without totally blowing out her liver, which would kill her), we tried testing her for thyroid... it came back negative. About 3 weeks ago, she had another seizure at about 1 AM, but when she got out of it, she was NOT acting how she normally does after a seizure...she was walking perfectly normal and seemed unusually coordinated (After all the seizures she'd had up to that point, she could barely walk afterwards - her back legs really couldn't move, they just dragged the ground.) Since then, she hasn't had another seizure and has been back to normal (she hasn't really been normal since before she started having seizures). Please, keep her in your thoughts and prayers-- let's hope she doesn't have any more seizures!
