Why when Sarah P quit as gov, is she all over the local media for the iditarod? Aren't the Stapleton's getting her enough PR outside?
I love the state, the race and the dogs, but I can't stand her stealing any more thunder from us here.

Actually the $610,000 is the complete purse, which is divided up among the top 20 or so finishers. The winner gets something like $69,000. It can be confusing when they use the word "purse." In almost all sled dog races the purse is shared among the top finishers. The only exception I know of is the All Alaska Sweepstakes, which has a winner take all purse ($100,000 in 2008)

i dont want to know anyone who lets people slaughter animals like she is doing , supports sled race but lets people shoot wolves from helicopters, not a person i want to know or vote for 88 wolves killed last week alone
