This is one of my favorite shows and lucky for you the company neglected to renew the copyright. So since this show is now public domain there have been a lot of different versions floating around and a lot of (mostly unofficial) DVD releases, but here are two I can recommend: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002DMJM7K/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=n... (has great picture quality, but only a few episodes)
and http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000RPCT5W/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=n... (has the most episodes but poor picture quality)

One Step Beyond is a little like Outer Limits or Twilight Zone etc. only that their stories are based on events that are said to be true (and they even did documentaries too) so they where truly one step beyond (-;
Of course you have to watch this show with an open mind and don't take it too seriously either - if the show manages to make you think a little - that's good enough (-:
Also i will of course not upload all episodes and mainly focus on the episodes that are not already on Youtube.

Produced shortly before the more well-known Twilight Zone, this series fed the nation's growing interest in paranormal suspense in a different way. Rather than creating fictional stories with supernatural twists and turns, this program sought out 'real' stories of the supernatural, including ghosts, disappearances, monsters, etc., and re-creating them for each episode. No solutions to these mysteries were ever found, and viewers could only scratch their heads and wonder, "what if it's real?"

  • Back in the 1960s, early 60s I remember being terrified of an introduction to a scary show. I've been trying to figure out what the name of this show was now that I'm a grown up!!

    Idk yet if this is it but I'm so very pleased that you have allowed the public to see this!

  • One more thing! Lol. The introduction had spooky faces swirling around on the tv screen and made me hysterical. There was an episode about a wolf or werewolf howling. That's all I can remember and it's driving me nuts. Thank you so much and if anyone out there can help me out I'd be ecstatic!!!!! :)

  • Is this the show that used to make me scream and cover my ears and cry "TURN IT OFF" over and over? Idk yet but it's not The Twilight Zone or Outer Limits. I'm still on a quest to find out the name of this scary series. Can anyone think of another one back in the day?

  • Thank you for your efforts in posting these shows! You prove that You Tube can be classy and doesn't have to be a venue for haters.

  • i first saw the one step beyond series back in 1960 on uk tv when i was 9 years old i liked it then and i still do

  • @tinlin27

    No, it's title is "Vanishing Point". See "An Analytical Guide to TV's One Step Beyond, 1959-1961," by John Kenneith Muir.

  • @49bradford - yeah, it's called "Reunion", but I haven't been able to find it anywhere.

  • This was great..does anyone know the name of the episode where the austrian flying club has a reunion and one pilot takes a glider up but doesn't return?

  • One Step beyond was more spooky than Twilight Zone I always thought.
