We can help you to reclaim your language. "Pasip-inyi," which is Greetings in the Mutsum dialect. It is not too late to reclaim lost heritages and languages. Because we are reclaiming a Californian heritage, which in return is reclaiming an American heritage. Language immersion programs are turning up throughout the country. Hopefully, there is a language immersion program for Ohlone. I know for sure about northern Californian reservation schools.

"Mestizo"?...the term is becoming outdated & reprobated due to its original motive in dividing groups of people in politics via taxomony. The term "mestizo" is used ambiguously in different contexts but its core meaning still implies: " you are no longer one of 'them' people but one of 'these' people, hence unite with the 'these' " , it is perceived offensive by most Indigenous persons.

"Mulatto" is NOT officially used for President Obama! Why? Offensive and divisive, yet he is biracial!

Stop worrying about who did or did not sleep in who's bed. Native or ethnic identity depends upon one's cultural background not one's DNA. That is, if a person identifies as a particular native or ethnic group and the larger native/ethnic group accepts that individual's identity, then the argument is over. It's cultural identity, not DNA

im not mexica or nahuatle but i am dine tribe and we speak dine bizaad still, so my cousin keep your language strong i heard a mexican speaking it. i want to learn it too.
