Significantly degraded user experience using VMware View over WAN. See also "Citrix XenDesktop Performance over WAN 100msLatency 1544KbpsBandwidth" for comparison - XenDesktop still delivers high performance.
For WANs you can complement the VMware View deployment with Ericom Blaze, a software-based RDP acceleration and compression product that provides improved performance over WANs. Besides delivering higher frame rates and reducing screen freezes and choppiness, Blaze accelerates RDP performance by up to 10-25 times, while significantly reducing network bandwidth consumption over low-bandwidth/high latency connections.
@G7130 Have you seen the video I posted? I have been using PCoIP over a multitude of links from sub 1ms to an abysmal 400ms (3G on the bus ride home) and have to say that it's TRULY much better than expected. If anything, software PCoIP is actually really really good and should be demo/tested. Another thing to try/ensure is to make sure "Performance Logs and Alerts" are enabled in services as ICA/PCoIP look at perfmon counters for quality and throughput.
@ab17182 PCoIP suffers if you have high latency over WAN, I know they've added some updates, but it still is a killer if you have above 53ms of latency.
