Though it is not "evidence" of a controlled demolition the past events do prove that the government is more then capable of doing something like 9/11.

Again, past indiscretions are not evidence of a "Controlled Demolition" or a missile hitting the Pentagon. This is indicative of conspiracy theorist talking points. I don't mean this to be confrontational, but it's self-righteous and condescending to assume that my skepticism over 9/11 being an inside job is somehow an indication that I need an education in history or that I trust my government and choose not to think beyond that point.

Actually it is not remote at all. This is the major problem with people today, (I'm not trying to insult or attack you) they can't believe the government would do something like this. It is not your fault, you were never taught some of the most important history in the US. If you want I can send you a message on some very dark and evil history of the United States that will not only prove they are capable of 9/11 but that it was most likely them.
