  • from the sound and looks of this video it seems to be running nice. do you know where I could get a hold of some non cj heads. from what vehicle or company? I have been on the ford460 website but never got access to ask questions so i have been tryinf my best to look around but not to much people with these 460's. seems like everyone wants the windsor's.

  • If you have a 460, any 460, the heads will work fine. Get them ported, install screw in studs if you are running a solid cam. I am sure a hydraulic cam would be fine but I run solid lifters. Competition cams cca-34-652-5 from Summit Racing. Keith Black flat top pistons. Hooker headers and a holley 850 jetted as lean as possible. Good luck. My car weighs about 3500 lbs.

  • wow. i was looking into the edelbrock performer rpm heads but they are pretty pricey. what did your heads run you? if you dont mind me asking. new to the ford family so trying to get it right the first time around.

  • Aluminum heads are too pricey for me too. I just took an old set of NON CJ heads and ported them. Huge bump in the exhaust port, you can grind that right away. I do run roller rockers and solid lifters. This engine has been together for 5 years. Very reliable.

  • wow. i have a 460 and a c-6 that i am putting into a 62 mercury. any specs on your engine.. and you car is just bad ass.

  • Thanks. It has ported iron heads, headers, stealth intake, 850 dp Holley, solid cam. Otherwise pretty stock. 3500 Stall converter, 3:89 rear end.
