@FlackoWeasel usally beacuse when you cut it from the back, its a cleaner cut, so you need to trace it on the back :)

Hello, I'm applying fur to my fursuit head on the BACK of the head and I keep getting these little lumps onto where it curves behind the ears. Can someone help me out please?

May I ask why are you turning the piece around one way and other when you trace it on the fur? Just curious as I'm going to fur mine too soon and want to know why is this needed :)

A ladder stitch :) A curved needle helps as well.

I always have a hard time hiding the stupid seams, where like I have to put on a new piece of fur but you can see where the first piece ended, is there a trick to cutting the fur so it looks like one piece still?

I have a tutorial uploaded on how to cut fur without cutting the fur pile itself. YouTube doesn't allow comment links but you can find it in my videos.

Would it work well to use real hide to coat the framework, or would I have to shave off the fur and superglue it?
I'm okay with either.

I wouldn't recommend using real fur. it requires too much upkeep and it not as malleable as fake fur.
