@Prismranger2 Seven seasons of Supernatural proves you wrong man. Jared would've made an excellent MacGyver had the series come to be. Still would, in my opinion.

Jared isn't a mature enough or sophisticated enough actor for this role. Unconvincing. Also hated how dark they made the Pheonix foundation set. I'm hoping they use the MacGyver movie to launch a good series in the MacGyver universe... much like the Star Trek series.

The acting sucks. I'm an avid MacGyver fan. I was hoping a relaunch would be more independent of the original series. This uses references to the other series like a crutch. Seems all the heroes, Super and otherwise are all fathers now, Superman, Indiana Jones, MacGyver with sons. I would have had the revamp staring a female lead who isn't a relative but called "MacGyver" in jest because of the MacGyver like creations and solutions to problems, more mature.
