Jennifer Jones Austin needs a bone marrow transplant

Jennifer, 41, is suffering from leukemia and without a bone marrow transplant her chances of survival are very little.

Jennifer is most likely to find a donor within the African American community. There are 8 million people registered in the Be The Match Registry, but only 500,00 of them are African Americans or Black. Because tissue types are inherited, patients have a better chance of matching
someone of their own race or ethnicity.
