  • @neopetsxxxx You will need the Sky Sports 'Dual Sports' pack (Sky Sports 1 & 2) OR be a HD subscriber to receive the channel. Thanks

  • Sky F1 = Fail

  • @dee020188 Because of the Concorde Agreement, that's why. They get enough money as it is, you think Bernie "The Evil Dwarf" Ecclestone made billions from collecting cans while F1 was free to air till now?

It's disgusting and now they are creating a new channel to milk more money so Virgin either can't get it or have to pay to get it.

    The whole thing is shady.

  • Also, people complaining about the Concorde Agreement, this is the Western Hemisphere we're talking about here. I'm stunned people aren't used to this by now, it's business. It's shady, it's screwing people over, but it's business. If you want to go watch the touring cars, I fully support you lot, it's fantastic. But Sky will cotton onto that once it gets popular. Like Bernie Ecclestone, I'm sure Alan Gow and Jonathan Palmer wouldn't reject large sums of money. Every man has his price.

  • It was going to be a tricky scenario in my eyes as Sky always manages to seriously increase the production value of anything they get the rights to broadcast, at a cost of fewer people being able to see it and those people having to pay for it separately, much like the ESPN channel and Sky Sports 1 to 4.

But to be perfectly honest with you, plenty of people in the UK have got Sky, and a large number of those have got the HD package...so I'm looking forward to it.

  • I'd just like to retract my previous post and simple say, SKY SPORTS F1 will be free of charge to SKY HD customers (if you don't have the HD package,.....your an idiot) and also BBC will be showing all races, 100% of them, 10 live races & 10 races showen later in the morning/afternoon. So dry your eyes people, you still get your BELOVED F1 for free

  • @dee020188 The winners of this deal are sky because morons will rush out to buy a sky package.

The losers are the people who have followed f1 for most of their lives through thick and thin long before Lewis Hamilton and jenson button were around even through the "boring" Schumacher days and we get repaid by eccelstone selling out to sky the moment f1 becomes popular.

Good luck to them. See how long it takes for the noobs to get bored.

I'll be enjoying the touring cars.

  • @dee020188 That's what sponsors are for.

Formula is and has been the richest sport in the world for many years. I've been following it for 25 years.

But its not like football where there always games and you can watch highlights and not miss key moments. You're paying a monthly subscription to watch two hours of f1 every two weeks.

The deal means teams receive ADDITIONAL money. They have comfortably managed to spend £100,000,000 every year for some time.

  • Dose this mean no more fleetwood mac!?

  • @Sozlled regardless, they found a loophole tat will make there company money. BTW its a business :P.

  • @adama02673 Well what a surprise that is.

The sport was supposed to remain on free to air TV (as per the Concorde Agreement) and this was a bullshit loop hole that was exploited by that dwarf CUNT and the media CUNT Murdoch.

You obviously know nothing about it, i won't continue discussing it with you.

  • @Sozlled haha I am fortunate enough to have it yes. However they are just trying to make money after all, Its not like people are not willing to pay for it. They know that having F1 on Sky will add new customers, it also seems like they will be adding a good service for customers to watch. Which makes them more money which makes them a stronger more wealthier business. Guess what there are far worse businesses out there.

  • @adama02673 I think it's called a scam, i suggest you go look up the Concorde Agreement before you make a comment on something you know nothing about.

I take it you have Sky with Sky Sports?
