In order to throw a ball, it is a combination of flexion and extension of the arm muscles. Flexion of the bicep brachii, brachioradialis, flexor carpi radialis, flexor carpi ulnaris, and brachialis. Abduction of the trapezius and deltoid. Adduction of the pectoralis major. Extension of the tricep brachii.
