  • No. Like people have already said, he's not just drumming to the melody. He's "playing" the melody through "triggers" in the drums. The melody is pre-programmed into the synth, he triggers the notes on the snare drum (you can hear each note playing with each strike on the drum). I think one of the tom-toms switches to the next "sequence" in the tune. His foot is doing the bass drum and also the bass synth, as you can see several times. He's improvising a lot with the pre-set loops in the melody.

  • I'd love to see somebody perform "Bright Rays" the second level of Space-Harrier 3d. The cheap 8-bit American synthesized version is way better than the Japanese Mark 3 version with the Yamaha processor.
