you're right about that, he is a free surfer. wait til lost across 3 comes out.. if it ever does. ive been waiting like 6 years for it to come out & im almost completely over surfing now ha! but im always down to watch any wardo clip
-
He might not take ct events seriously because he probaly doesnt enjoy them as much as others on the wct. Your correct. I just think his style is more suited to free surfing.
-
not a chance. he was as good as he ever was in 'what's really goin wrong' days. maybe 1995. he had to be 17 or younger. he's never taken any ct events serious. he rarely ever gets through the second round. & you're correct, that was his highest ranking, 2nd at quik pro gold coast. but watch him rip harder than anyone in any type of surf. even today. he's a master of his craft

I have seen Wardo surf for years and I believe that his style has gone down hill in terms of fluidity and cleanness. He also used to punt like a maniac. Lately he has had poor results on the CT. I reckon that his peak was in 2005 when I think he placed second at the Quicksilver pro on the gold coast.

obviously coming from someone who just saw him surf for the first time. chris ward is a g. he's been a close second to slater since he was 15. fool always has & always will be one of the best
-
yeah i agree, i think its cause he gained some weight, when he was younger and fitter he was awesome to watch
-
I really dislike wardo's style...He has a big hunch and seems to surf really slow and heavy footed...still doin some pretty crazy shit but.

Wardo and Social Distortion are the shit. Snapper Rocks is good too.
