"Teisco Guitar Demo"!

,Due to recent Discussions on "The Gretsch Pages.Com" about Unique Crappy, but Cool 60's Garage Guitars, I decided to break out my Teisco ET-300!

It does need a new set of strings though :)

Here's a Demo of my 3 pickup Tesicso Del Ray ET- 300Model that I haven't played for a long time.

I duste'er er' off and sprayed the switches,

Soon, I will upgrade the strings.

Going through my Marshall JCM DSL 2000 Amp.

  • Glad I put this in my favorites since you have de-listed it.

  • @SudoNimh

Thanks for keeping it on! :)

  • Nice find and playing.

They made a couple of versions of the 300. This one has the best pickups Teisco ever used imho, the same ones they put in SS-4Ls. Run $100-110 each on eBay currently. Unlike a lot of other claims, these actually are Ry Cooder style gold foils. Visible on his website on his Strat and his Guyatone SS-4L equivalent.

  • nice specimen

  • its not a piece of crap --but the next thing to it

  • I have a two pick up version I bought in two cardboxes for $40 . I got my friend to jumbo fret it . Its great , better pick ups then most other crap I hear . Nice video .

  • And leave it to stich to find all the best sounding gear out there...the guy's a tone magnet.

  • Yeah!

I just snagged a sun burst mahogany(body AND neck)beauty that resembles a two pickup strat for 130 bucks!

I always wanted a mahogany, shorter scale strat style guitar with thinner/resonant body, and that's what I got. Those thin mahogany bodies are alive and I just love the tremolos they come with

These guitars are the best kept secret, not for long I suspect.

  • Teisco, Kay, Jedson, Harmony, Silvertone, Airline, Supro, Danelectro, Kapa, Eko & Framus - these are some of the greatest and most fascinating instrument manufacturers of the 20th century.

They were fantastic, they were stylish, they were cheap, and they were a whole lot better than most of what's out there today.
