@speedbullet100 If you can't get the parts to repair the generator, get an alternator/electronic ignition kit from MZ-B in Germany. It's expensive, but is the best investment you can make for an old MZ.

Miałem kilka lat temu ETZ 251, motocykl godny polecenia, jeździłem nim 3 lata i nigdy nie miałem awarii. Lekka konstrukcja prowadziła się przyzwoicie, silnik przy prawidłowym eksploatowaniu bezawaryjny.

@speedbullet100 batterie feeds theignition/sparkplug. is the batter low no sparks on the sparkplug. so seems so that your electric generator how loads up the battery is defect. because the ignition gets the power from the battery and not direct from electricgenerator. hope i could help you.

Bardzo przydatny film. All parts for MZ are still available in every motorbike shop in Poland.

what could it be? would appreciate any help possible because not even know what model is not the year of construction ... and I wanted to take this bike to one of the largest concentrations of bikes in Europe ... Faro, I have an Aprilia RSV4 but this beauty is different she have nostalgia ...

hello my name is Jonnhy daSilva and I'm from Portugal ... found by chance a MZ 250 abandoned in a barn and I am restoring it ... is very hard to find parts here because they are very rare these bikes in Portugal. already managed to put the old engine to work but ran into a problem ... it has a battery when the battery is fully charged it works like a clock suisse but when the battery runs low begins to fail until the engine stops working ...
