"A loaf of bread, a container of milk and a stick of butter". From 1972, the classic animated segment about memory, which has done a pretty good job of sticking in the memories of a generation of Sesame Street viewers. Produced by Jim Simon's Wantu Enterprises, the same company that made equally distinctive animation for The Electric Company and Vegetable Soup. The mother was voiced by Jim Simon's sister, and the little girl was voiced by his niece, an artist whose YouTube screen name is voluplady42.
Check out Jim Simon's current web page here: http://www.simonizedportraitsandartby... I'm really looking forward to the release of "The 2010 Family Darlington Calendar"!

This is classic. When I send someone to the store, I always say, "I need a loaf of bread, a container of milk and a stick of butter" and they look at me like I'm crazy. But it always makes me laugh.
