Grandioso!!! Belissimo!!!

Still my most favorite version of this beautiful baritone aria. His diction and use of voice for emotional effect is very moving. Grazie Giorgio!

@Merrillmiller99 Totally agree with you - he is so at ease and loving every minute of it ! There is total confidence in his presence AND in his singing - just amazing!!!!
-
I hardly have to say that he is vocally fantastic, But I would like to mention his presence, his way to greet the audience(he doesn´t bow, but not of lack of respect, but rather because he didn´t feel like it was necessary at that point. Have you noticed what he does in the intermezzo? He just walks about as if he were in his own livingroom.
Not even Ingvar Wixell would be so cool to do that. Zancanario is totally relaxed. And it´´s probably why he´s such a great actor.

First rate baritone -- makes today's current sound like Bing Crosby

Great voice, great interpretation~ BRAVO !!

E meraviglioso ! A wonderful baritono.Great timbre and tone. But this tempo seems much too fast but I could be mistaken. Grazie mille Onegin 55 for sharing this. Superb.

Sounds great! I like the tempo. Usually this aria is sung so slow and heavy and boooring! But this tempo is refreshing, it makes the aria interesting. I wish you will see it Texon! Learn from it!

eccellente!!!!
Had to comment again. Just listened to Tibbett, who is a force of nature, magnificent. But Zancanaro, along with his perfect technique, is so inside the music, the idiom, the language, the emotion -- much more moving. But thank heavens for both of them. And thanks for posting.
