Into the Storm (2009) is a biographical film about Winston Churchill and his days in office during World War II. The movie is directed by Thaddeus O'Sullivan and stars Brendan Gleeson, who plays the British Prime Minister, and Janet McTeer, who plays his wife Clementine Churchill ("Clemmie"). Into the Storm is a sequel to the 2002 TV movie, The Gathering Storm (Albert Finney as Churchill and Vanessa Redgrave as Clementine Churchill), which details on the life of Churchill in the years just prior the war. Into the Storm was nominated for 14 Primetime Emmy Awards. Irish actor Brendan Gleeson collected the Emmy award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a mini-series or movie for his portrayal of British Prime Minister Winston Churchill.
