Here's my arrangement of a great Fats Waller tune. The original is fantastic. I also really like Jim Kweskin's version. Played on my brand new National Estralita.

  • Damn! That was super. I haven't heard that kind of get in your face playing since I shut down HighString Records in 1974. Thanks for the memories.

  • @controversialbook Appreciate it! If you ever start it up again, lemme know...

  • how did you start to play in this style?

  • @dylanthomaszimmerman little by little - just started getting into all the old stuff as a teenager and began picking as much as i could...

  • Hey, What are the basic chords? I seem to have most of them but I'm missing something towards the end. A, E, F#, Bm7,

    Thanks, it sounds awesome.

  • no bm7, these are the chords i use:

    a/e/f#/b7/e

    a/e/c#7/a/d/dm

    a/f#/b7/e/a

  • P.S. parallel major to minor four chord, spot on :)

  • There's a debate about who actually wrote this tune.. knowing Fats, there's a good chance that he sold the rights to it for a steak dinner.

  • wow you are by far the best guitar player (in this style) i saw on youtube

thank you for keeping music alive..

  • Nice rhythm dude, thats all you need

  • You must be a great fan of Leon Redbone. Am I right?

  • You play wonderfully!!!!! It's fantastic.

  • just looks like your having too much fun, inspires me to play more.

  • dude you make me want to play my guitar until I can play that good. loved the song.

  • Whow, dude!!! Good!!!

  • I really enjoyed this version, vocally & instrumentally. Fats Waller did not write this tune: it was composed by Leo Wood in 1918.
