This is a video of a Processing sketch using the Minim library that draws the waveform as the song is played... to me it's the most basic form of music visualizer. There were a lot of surprising challenges that I ran into when I made this... the biggest being the fact that there is no clear way to generate a movie (that includes audio and video) from a Processing sketch. I ended up using CamStudio and Windows Movie Maker to cobble this together.
