Oh, so you can calm children down with this music? I must try it! :)
What he said about singing naturally reminds me of my dear old singing teacher. She kept saying, "singing is nothing else but magnified speaking".

@JaRoWi1647 well, well, of course, we both love language. Otherwise we would not work on such minor details ... for people like us, it is simply fun. So, now the translation is complete. I wonder whether there will be much discussion now of the interesting things that were said.

Ok, I will try to do a translation, and JaRoWi wants to take upon her the horrible work of working it into subtitles. Please, have a little patience...
-
@sarazhou, a brief version would be quite difficult, as their statements are very differentiated. In this part, Ph.J. talks about "angelic voice" in contrast to feeling and expressing all the human emotions (which is why he finds the angel comparisons a bit tedious), about his spirituality etc.
-
Please, at least, could someone translate this? Briefly?

A well informed interviewer who really wants to understand about music and what Philippe Jaroussky does. And as always very interesting and extremely honest answers by M. Jaroussky. I am on tenterhooks about the rest of this interview!
The translation of this extremely interesting passage of the interview is complete and should be added by JaRoWi within the next few days.

@JaRoWi1647 oh, I am glad you feel that way about it, as this is some work. Actually I need a few days for each part. So thank you, Jana, and everyone, for your patience!

@CaraPhilos
The same to me when I translate Philippe´s interview into Russian for my (Russian ) sites- I compare all three languages ( French, English, German) to choose the most precise equivalent in Russian.
