God I hate you guys competing agents swords! Quilty wise yes katana out beats the rest but if you take it in foreign places it wont have use like others say in Europe they have big plated armor and chainmail which makes a katana useless that's y they made the broad sword! But if u put a master of a katana with a master of a broad sword with NO armor the katana wins just because of skill of the person. Now stop arguing differnt regions different swords for differnt purposes!

Katanas aren't a poor Thrusting sword. There's a lot of stance and techniques to use a Katana.

I don't know what sort of a "broadsword" you had in mind when you wrote this, but it certainly couldn't be anything even remotely resembling a historically-accurate blade...
Of all the things in European history you could call a broadsword, NONE were, as you describe, "bone-breaking baseball bats". Ever.

@LoLFilmStudios I have video proof to the contrary on my channel. My katana goes up against several other bladed weapons from the Nepalese kukri to machetes in a stabbing match.
