Damn, this looks like WWII Army... Where and what was this operation for?

This was a two day convoy and one day static show around Norfolk and Suffolk to commemorate the 65th Anniversary of the US Army Air Force arriving in England. There must have been about 60+ vehicles involved over the weekend.

I'm not sure there will be another ever quite like this. 'Operation Bolero' was a one off, touring several of the old 8th AF bases. Whether the organising team does anything similar in the next couple of years is unknown. visit....... HMVF dot CO dot UK for a report and purchaseable picture CD of the event.
