  • Nice memories ...

  • Great version. Thanks for posting this.

  • Guys forget all these comparisons and just enjoy! I.ve been a musician

for over sixty years and enjoy all the greats for there variations in style

tone and technique. An old Buddy DeFranco EP of mine sums it up

    "Get Happy"

  • Heyyyy thanks, I had & dug this in the '50's. Still like it. It's been some time ... wow ...

  • @pinkieldred You must have mis-understood my comments as needing answer to or discussion. They do not need debate. I love Buddy. Have been influenced by him. Eddie is playing the most clarinet to date. This is agreed by Buddy and all thinking clarinet players. Comments by someone like yourself are like kids collecting baseball cards. Doesn't make you an expert. perhaps you could just sit back and enjoy my comments. Learn from them.

  • @jazzgent ....Evidently you haven't listened...or don't have the ears..?

Buddy had a very unique and different way of digging into the chord structure...he stood alone in this respect! Of course Eddie Daniels was a great clarinet player...but pleeeeeeze don't call him the king that has no equal..? Defranco was playing with with A Tatum years ago. Tatum demanded the best musicians as side men.

  • @Aljazz67 Buddy is great, but not the King. Eddie Daniels has no equal. This you should know.

  • The King of Clarinet.Love Buddy.

  • Absolutely sublime. I'm old enough to remember Buddy De Franco from the fifties, but wasn't hip to him when this fabulous group was a going concern. What a blessing that Buddy is still with us.

You'll never be forgotten Buddy De Franco.
