Tracie Rhesean Davis, Soprano, sings I Double Dare You by Terry Shand on her senior voice recital. Laurelie Gheesling on piano. November 20, 2008 @ Louisiana State University.
Brava! It is a joy to discover one who knows the delights of Terry Shand, especially one under the age of 60! Years ago I was playing in a Houston hospital lobby when a woman slipped a note on the top of the piano. When I was finished (playing "I Double Dare You" and "You Don't Have to be a Baby to Cry") I read her note: "Thank you for playing my daddy's music." I almost fainted. I had known Terry and his wife, Vi, back in the early 1960s and had played in his club on Montrose in Houston.
