NY Subway South Ferry Arrival

#1 train entering the South Ferry Terminal in March 2008. This station has been replaced in 2010 by a new 2 track stub end terminal.

The chains are on the movable gap-filling platforms. When the train stopped you can see the gap-filler go out.

If you really want loud and screetchy, get a video of a No. 5 train coming around the even-sharper inner loop during non-rush hours (and if you're going to do it before the new station opens, you've probably only got 1-2 weeks left to do it).

yeah south ferry station is pretty much the crapiest station in nyc... but good thing there gonna replace it

The new south ferry station will open this December (2008).

Actually the new south ferry station with straight platforms will be opened until February 2009.
