@YuDumPhuck Again, I am not saying that Vietnamese dose not have its own unique develops. But I just want you to be clear on the history part. Vietnamese language and culture today is by far influenced by the French of course. But let us not decline to respect history.

@YuDumPhuck I did a quick wikipedia search, I only see the Chinese part. I guess you are not very familiar with the Tibetan language. The Tibetan language is very different from Chinese characters. The earlier Vietnamese writing system adopted the Han characters, there's few invented characters that the modern Chinese speakers are not familiar with but it is by far too integrated the classic Chinese writing system which in order to read ancient history of Vietnam, you need to refer to Chinese.

For one thing, I simply do not believe that the Chinese adopted Vietnamese writing system. There is no way that anyone in the world can convince me. Not to involve any politics into this, but the writing is Chinese characters.
