the cars were so cool in 2004/05/06....and so much faster and stable....what an amazing combination of sound, design, speed and braking power.

Can't agree with much of that. The sound of the traction control is horrible, and that's where a lot of the stability comes from. Less stable cars provide a better challenge, and better racing. It's lovely to see the drivers actually sliding (gosh!) these days. Also, the Ferrari was an exceptionally stable car - it's not representative of the other cars of the era.
