  • Excellent interview! It's a pleasure to have an interviewer that knows what questions to ask for the people watching can make a coherent picture about the subject matter.

Columbus and the Vikings and etc.

  • When he says at 4.40+ planets do not generate their own energy, that implies that humans were the initial source of energy on planet Earth, before we got to building machines. Right?

  • Students becoming disillusioned with science should look at Geoff Marcy's career. He too was fed up with his career at one stage but by following instincts turned the situation round so now when you mention extrasolar planets to scientists they think .... " Geoff Marcy ". ( Plus Debra Fischer, Didier Queloz, Michel Mayor, Paul Butler et. al ).

  • With all the sensationalism around astronomy and televisions mission to keep people interested and not necessarily educated, I learned more about how plants and stars work from this one video than from all the other videos I've seen.

    Really good stuff!
