iPhone Tips: Turn Auto Correct Off

The Best Buy Mobile team demonstrates how to turn off auto correct as you're typing on your iPhone.

Hi everyone, Im Ben from Best Buy Mobile in Holyoke, Massachusetts and today Im going to show you to how to turn auto correct off on your iPhone 3G. So were gonna go in here and send an email to my friend. Were gonna type in a word and if I mis-key something youll see a little bubble come up there, that bubble gives you a suggestion of a word you may or may not want to use. If Im typing in a model number or a name or something that it doesnt recognize, Im not gonna be able to do that. Unless, we go into our settings and turn auto correct off; and, Im gonna show you how to do that. We go right here to general settings and then scroll down a little bit and youll see keyboard options. Right on the top is auto correct. If I pressed that and turn auto correct off, now I can go back into email, I can type whatever letters I want into this taskbar here and its not gonna assume that Im typing in any particular words. So if youre typing in a name, a model number, anything, you're good to go. And that is how you turn auto correct off on your iPhone.
