Took a trip up to DC this weekend to check things out. My Canon camera broke so this is with my new camera. So far it seems pretty nice. This is I-395 heading south.

  • @TheCravers3 it won't take video 3/4 of the time. Says cannot read card. Same cards I have used and new cards of different brands.

  • @TheCravers3 I have the Nikon Coolpix 4100 and it is not great for video. Think I'll send my Canon in for repair.

  • @401RoadWarrior I guess I have to revert back to why I make my videos. I joined youtube in 2006 when it was new because I read about it in Wired Magazine (my favorite). I put the videos on so I could watch them and never in my wildest imagination ever expect anyone else to watch them. My videos aren't just about driving or food or whatever, they are my memories stimulators where I can go back and remember everything I was doing at that point in time. Vegas, I found very frustrating.

  • @vbdenny Sure, but ome more thing Denny, if you have just one clip to U/L 2 YT, so one max 15-min clip, you dont need Sony Vegas, simply use the software on CD-ROM that came with your camcorder, for instance my Sony camcorder came with Picture Motion Browser (PMB) software, I've installed it and using it always to transfer my videos from the camera onto computer, and, if just one clip for U/L, directly from PMB 2 YT, that's it. Vegas is needed when u have 2+ clips and merge them into one clip.

  • @401RoadWarrior I have more travel coming up and I am swamped at work so I will have to back burner it for now but when I get situated, I'll get up with you. No, not a real big fan of time lapse, I kind of prefer the real time thing.

  • @vbdenny Anytime Denny, send me a PM and I'll tell you EXACTLY how to EASILY use Sony Vegas for ANY type of video. BUT, please, don't ask me how to do stylish effects with Vegas, I guess you can do it but never tried, have no time for that kind of stuff. And I tried just one time-lapsed video with Vegas, no big deal but I think I forgot how I did it, also I remember you're not a big fan of those kind of videos. So let me know.

  • @401RoadWarrior yeah, I may need those. For some reason I just could not get it to do what I wanted it to do. I will have to find my disc and reinstall it as I deleted it at one point.

  • @vbdenny V9 doesn't work with Windows 7, I had V9 before but upgraded to V10 when I bought a very powerful computer that came with Windows 7. Almost zero difference btwn V9 and V10. Extremely easy to work with Sony Vegas, V9 or V10, Denny. Unless you wanna do time lapse videos and/or computer effects, it takes an eternity for that but I dont think you are into that kind of stuff. Those "freeway" users, Jim, Titan, etc., are doing that kind of stuff, NOT ME, Denny. Let me know if u want details.
