@4:47 Cain: When we were doing the debates Newt and I used to talk and we could relate and I would listen to what he would say and I listen to what Romney would say. I would say Newt is definitely closer to Reagan.

On Romney's tax returns:

@5:50 Cain: Instead of trying to minimize it and not talk about it I would have been out there waving it like a red flag. "Folks, I'm rich! Look at all this money! I know how to create wealth! Ok, follow me." Rather than almost apologizing for it.

@7:04 Cain: Romney's camp was the first one to do all the attacking in Iowa and for people to now say that's Newt, that's wrong. I happen to think that the establishment would prefer Romney because he is more of the establishment candidate. Newt has basically thrown it back in their face a couple of times.

On Mitch Daniels' response to the State of the Union

@11:57 Cain: I thought that it was heavy on content. I thought his delivery was fine, but I didn't think it got anybody excited and inspired. We need inspiration. We need some fire in the belly. This is why I think Newt continues to surge. Whether he's on planet Earth or not or whether he is too far out there, people are linking his natural from his gut passion right now.
