song that could have been used ?- What do you think?

This is a song that was submitted for a GE commercial called clouds - it is from an old British 70's kids tv show called tiswas - my thinking was that it brings out the humor in the spot more than the song they used - a cover of "have you ever seen the rain" - great version and worked well but this gives the spot a different feel - you decide - see that version over here http://youtube.com/watch?v=v1YleoC_0jw

I think this song is just to happy. GE is trying to get people to take them seriously, and I just don't see how one can with this song really, but it's just my opinion.
