@0anaarkadievna0 Maybe if you listened to this interview with an open mind, you might see that there are indeed two sides to this story, but by now it’s obvious you will continue to insist on labeling the NW guys as greedy, hypocritical liars, and absolve Tarja of her share of responsibility for the breakdown of communication within the band.

@0anaarkadievna0 Pity that Tuomas, mere mortal that he is; so riddled with flaws that he will never attain Tarjas’ elevated state of perfection which places her beyond reproach. In your court of judgment he stands condemned, no need to offer a defense, since none would satisfy you.

@Nova42575 i don't believe that thing about the contract. i've heard about canceled concert, never rescheduled, but the artist didn't get any money either.
they could have told marcelo what they were thinking and marcelo would have pass it to tarja.
the "we can't communicate" stuff was an excuse. i'm pretty sure tuomas had enough chances to talk to tarja, but he's not the communicative tipe. in fact he just liked to cry about tarja, just like in sammy's case...

You’re absolutely correct. It’s not illegal to cancel a concert, however, a band has to agree to reschedule and play those missed concerts at a later time. In the case of NW, firing Tarja early would mean they would be unable to fulfill their legal obligation to perform, either on the original date or any future date. Therefore, they could indeed be sued for breach of contract.

@0anaarkadievna0 How could they tell Tarja what was going on? After Dec 2004, she refused to talk with them. She had removed herself from NW to the point where she was not attending band meetings. The only communication between her and the rest of the band was through Marcelo. It was through Marcelo that she announced she would no longer participate in interviews with NW. Now, did she sit down with her bandmates and tell them what was going on? No, she did not.

@Nova42575 i know the story
but you're missing my point. they were hypocrites by not telling tarja what was going on...
they wouldn't have been sued. they wouldn't have get any money. and that hurts...
it's not ilegal to cancel a concert. many artists did it before.

@0anaarkadievna0 Yes, Nightwish played gigs even after they knew they would be releasing Tarja after that October 21, 2005 Hartwall Arena show. They played only because all the gigs had already been booked prior to their decision to fire Tarja. If they had cancelled these gigs, knowing they would not be rescheduled, the band and their management could have been sued for breach of contract.

@Nova42575 they fired her after their LAST concert, so they did "swallowed" it for some time. they waited the "right moment" so money wouldn't be lost...
-
@0anaarkadievna0 Tarja had agreed to do one more album and tour with Nightwish before leaving to pursue her solo career. If NW was so damn greedy, they would have swallowed their frustration with Marcelo and let her stay. NW lost a huge amount of money as a result of releasing her early. How does this make them greedy?
