Although a victory of sorts can be claimed, I dont think the risk to the crew and eventual loss of the Ady Gil was a good result. This was an act of madness and an accident waiting to happen. The Ady Gil was taking an unreasonable risk in continuing without refueling. I admire the work of Sea Shepherd in protecting Whales as I've been aware of them being ruthlessly slaughtered for most of my life . Keep up the campaign but take care to steer clear if the 'incident pit'.

@Erin3085 I agree with u on everything besides the punishment. While Watson was an idiot and did ram a japanese vessel, it was a ship of about equal size and he its almost like he tried to do a PIT maneuver. as far as i know there was little to no damage done to the ship. This one, however was done on a ship of much lesser size that had little to no means of getting out of the way and actually sunk the ship. At least the Japanese should compensate Pete for the boat in my opinion.

It's pretty blatently apparent to anybody but a complete idiot hat this is the fault of the Ady Gil. If you look at 3:33, it is clear that the sea shepard crew puts their boat in gear and runs under the bow of the Japanese boat.

I'm no fan of whaling, but sea shepard just makes environmentalists look bad. They do far more harm than good.

Both sides have been guilty of wrong doing. What I wanna know is why wasn't such a stink made last year when fatty slob Paul Watson put his pizza down long enough to take the helm and ram a Japanese vessel? Just as dangerous, just as much evidence and OBVIOUSLY intentional, yet he got a finger-wag, if that, and nothing more was said. The Sea Shephards are antagonistic and dangerous and should all be stopped before someone more serious happens.
