@ginko27 there are some lungfish that have been on display to this day in chicago since 1933! and i dont know if thay started out as babys or adults but thay can outlive us!

I have a African lungfish that is around 30yrs old and I was wondering how long they can live? It isn't as large as the one seen on river monsters, so I was wondering if the size of the tank is a big factor in growth? Some fish it is and others it's not. Also, the way I know it is around 30yrs old is because the store I got it from NEVER put it out for sale and kept it in a display tank. I used to go see it when I was VERY young and my father remembers seeing it when I was a baby. I'm now 30.
