What games would you want to play most with the Sony 3D Visor?

After watching this im really cought in the middle. I personally think that 3D is rather gimmicky and used as a selling point for games. I dont like how Sony is using 3D gaming as the "future of gaming" and really pushing it. Then this VR visor comes along and really second guesses me. This is 3D done right. I dont actually own anything 3D other then the 3DS but it just doesnt work imo. I cant wait to see how this VR pans out, and hope that it does pull in a large crowd!

This conversation makes me think two things: first, that 3D, Kinect, Move and whatever else are all still in their infant stage and have yet to meet their potential (particularly when developers aren't tapping into it to begin with); and, secondly, that combining these technologies will be the direction the medium takes in the future. While it might not admit it, the industry is in an experimental stage right now and I actually think it's good the 'big 3' are focusing on different areas of that.

Before sony gets this working, I'd like to see grenades work properly in Planetside 2...

What is the point of a new visual system, if you release games that aren't ready to play and buggy......

3D everything is a horribly pathetic idea ... however this visor has much larger implications than just gaming. It represents new avenues for how people can/will interface with technology in general. And it may be nice to see what new companies over the next 10 or so years do with that implication both inside and outside of gaming.

Next gen VR systems should consist of 1) volumetric lenses to let you see the image in fisheye format, e.g. as you see the world around you 2) front fisheye cameras for augmented reality option 3) mind reading device that will get ALL input data + gyroscope 4) mind writing device that will affect our feelings 5) portable computer on belt / on back / not headmounted to process all data 6) internet connection for augmented reality via online services (wi-fi)

Great video guys. Can't wait to get this.  I think they say it will eliminate ghost image since the two oled screen show two different image instead of alternating.
