  • Being a member of the Ohio State Marching Band I've done my fair share of friendly OU bashing, but there's no denying they are a great band. I know they are extremely disciplined and and very good at performing the style of marching and playing that has become a tradition in their group. I still won't claim they're better than the OSUMB ;) but I'll still compliment them on a great performance.

    Way to go Marching 110!

  • That was one of the more exciting dance drills i've seen from the 110 in awhile. In response to some of the comments below about lacking musical excellence i'd just like to say,as a former memeber,we were never trying to win any band competitions or get a superior rating on anything. our goal was to be exciting and as entertaining as possible to a college football crowd who,at most other schools could give a crap less about the band.Thats not the case at OU.Its supposed to be raw and in you fac

  • @GustavBruder Being a former memeber of the OU 110 i've done my fair share of OSU bashing, and i really wanted to thank you for the comment you posted. We talk alot of shit but at the end of the day i think there really is and underlying mutual respect for one another, being two bands, both from ohio who are the undenialble BEST at thier respective styles. The OSU band got me interested marching band...and the OU band made me fall in love with it, just my taste. Any way thanks for the kind words

  • I do wish that Suk would stop writing in 2 step drills for EVERY halftime show. Looks lazy...

  • @OUbobcat10 To be specific, like I mentioned in my first comment, intonation, balance & blend, and rhythmic precision are problems in this particular video. Other 110 videos contain these same specific issues and some videos do not. The 110 is capable of the most spectacular half time shows in the college band world, this isn't one of them. That's what I hear.

  • @TheTailsthefox To continue (I ran out of characters) there are many other college level bands who don't allow rain or marching style to be reasons for a lack of musical excellence. I think this band should be better than this, but it's inconsistent from video to video. That's how I see it. Best of luck to the band in 2011!

  • @TheTailsthefox For good reason the 110 has been rated highly by many people. The shows are always exciting! The football crowds love it! I enjoy watching the videos and hope to see the band in person one day. You give good reasons for the band's lack of musical excellence which have merit, but allow me the chance to share something I share with my band students frequently: No one cares about the weather or any other reason why performance was lacking, they only care that it's great.

  • @d5hepinstall Musical Issues????? Already the best band in the country and have been for years

  • 7 fags from Miami

  • Five dislikes? What the hell. This band's visuals are stunning, and the sound is phenomenal, especially given that they're only 110. The arrangements are a bit lacking, but the band can't be faulted for that. Bravissimo.
