There must be a point, if you asked that question no? Rokabeka, I have this sentiment, that you're a woman. In my experience, only they reveal this much insecurity this quickly, honest yet polite, and disarmingly apologetic at the same time. It's not anyone of these traces you understand, but more like that particular mixture, which gives me the hunch.
In any case, professional simply means, that the act related to someone's profession, is also his/her livelihood. No more, no less.

@wotan20 sorry, i wasn't doing it for the conflict.. and i did take the whole meaning, only amateurs sounded so degrading. but now i checked it, and you're right, though what is the definition of profesionals..? and is there a point to defining it?
-
@rokabeka Let's just say, that they are better than some professional musicians. Will that satisfy you?
PS Next time take-in the meaning of the whole sentence I meant, instead of grabbing one word for it.

they are not amateurs at all. they won numerous awards, among them, the Grand Prix of the Sacramento Jazz Festival in California in 1982...

You can appreciate their otherwise professional performance even more, if you know that these are amateur, part time musicians, (they are Hungarian MD-s by and by), and they do these for the love of music.

Это настоящий джаз. Это настоящие лабухи. Кларнет - вообще памятник при жизни заслужил. Неясно только, где должен стоять :рядом с Бени, или Арти Шоу. Просто МОЛОДЦЫ!!!!!!!
