2 Questions: 1. If the Europeans had not come into possession of this land, do you believe there would be anything here that people who identify themselves as indigenous Americans from Mexico, Honduras and Guatemala would so desperately want? 2. Because some Americans commit crimes (Columbine, Jeffrey Dahmer, etc.) does that justify allowing illegal aliens being here unlawfully and doing many of the same things?

Answer to 1: I can't really answer that, ask the people you are talking about. 2 No it doesn't justify, but it also doesn't mean you can one side a group of people.

You have no protection against those people and you have no rights beyond basic human rights. Even if you are a "good person" who only wants to "make a life for your family" you must essentially live a criminal's life hiding from law enforcement because you did break the law. You cannot live freely. Living freely is the whole basis of the American dream

And just because something is not easy doesn't give someone the right to circumvent the law. Every sovereign nation has the right regulate immigration. The government wants to make sure that we have healthy and skilled workers coming into our country. They need to verify the validity of the individual's trip. For a lot of countries getting your visa is not easy. I know what the visa process is like.

And of course you can "side" with one group of people. Do you know the difference between "right" and "wrong"? "Legal" and "Illegal". It's very simple. You either support folks who play by the rules and show respect for a place they want to make home or you advocate for lawlessness, identity theft and stealing from American taxpayers. And it has nothing to do with race. Choosing to violate immigr. statutes is a choice, skin color and ethnicity aren't.

Of course you can answer that because the truth is obvious. Do the Have Nots flock here from Mexico, etc. for access to civil liberties, economic opportunity and decent treatment or do they come here because they feel drawn by America's beautiful forests and historical events? Be serious. What is wanted here is what has been built by U.S. citizens - economically and politically.
