There are still living memories of what has happened in the Soviet Union during the Stalinist terror. Sure, for you it is a distant and unknown past, so it is easy to claim everything is propaganda. It is very different story for the people who've experienced the terror and the outcome of the darkest part of the human nature themselves.

Hitler went far beyond just that and his other motivation was racial purification and the Aryn race and Aryn human. He wanted to exterminate several races of people off the face of the planet, and not just their races but also homosexuals, the physical/mental disabled, gypsies, alcoholics, drug addicts, people in poverty/homeless, prostitutes, etc. This is something that Stalin and Mao didn't do. This is why people view Hitler with more hate as well.

All dictators kill for pretty much the same reasons. Both are power hungry and both are trying to control the political system and put forward their ideologies and preserve their political system. Hitler and Stalin both killed their own countrymen because of power as well as because he thought they were a threat and Stalin did the same exact thing. What sets Hitler apart is that it went way beyond just killing to preserve power and because you think they are threats.

@cinemafreak666 Is it not worse to kill your own countrymen. I am in no way defending what Hitler did, he was a monster. But he killed people who he thought were a threat to his people while Stalin killed his own countrymen who he thought was a threat to his power.

I hate Stalin and I don't support Communism but please, it seems like America has such a growing hate towards Communism even though its been dead for over 20 years that everyone is randomly thinking Stalin is worse. Hitler killed about as many people and served a much shorter sentence, Hitler started WW2, and Hitler killed people based off who they are as humans, pure genocide, and Hitler killed his own people, Stalin killed to preserve the communist system not genocide

Hitler killed more than Jews as well and more than homosexuals and the poles, gypsies, disabled, he also killed blacks, Asians, alcoholics, prostitutes, drug addicts, homeless/poverty people, and anyone else who he thought was inferior and unfit. He also killed millions of his own people including both citizens/civilians, and people in the military and his higher ranking officials. Hitler was much worse than Stalin because of his intention.

You kidding me? Hitler was much worse than Stalin, Hitler was worse than Mao despite the fact 40 million died under Mao. Stalin killed around the same amount as Stalin and served a much shorter dictatorship. Hitler was also the cause of WW2 and created and started WW2, where as Stalin killed people because of paranoia and to preserve the communist political system, Hitler killed because of hating entire groups of people. Hitler performed genocide.

Hitler was worse than Stalin. Hitler completely took away Germany, it doesn't matter if the word nationalism was by his name. Hitler took out history, changed history, and created a country under Nazi rule and nazi ideology, its no different than Stalin, what makes Hitler was is that the death count was around the same and he served a much shorter rule, and where as Stalin killed because of paranoia and preserving the communist ideology, Hitler killed because of genocide
