I think it's supposed to take place during the scene where Eric brings her out to town. You know how in Tangled and Beauty and the Beast there're songs (or in B&Bs case, song) where the song is in the background? Or at least that's how I took it.

@SarahGailCotton And by the feet thing, I mean, how would she even know what feet feel like to begin with, if she were a mermaid singing this? ...Or, for that fact, how would she know that humans wear white at weddings or what dresses are? But then she says she'd trade her mermaid life away, so that makes you think she's singing this as a mermaid. Just confusing. e_e;

Very nice song. But, some of the lyrics are kind of cliche' and cheesy. Still, the rhythm is nice, and Jodi's voice sounds cute singing it. I just don't see it fitting in the movie anywhere. ..I GUESS they would take out the reprise for Part of Your World and replace it with this, but the lyrics are a bit contradictory. "Feet so light, like they haven't touched the floor." - Oh, ok. She's human singing this. ...Wait. No voice. "Leave the sea for the sand." - ..MY HEAD HURTS. MERMAID? HUMAN? GUH.
