Well, time for something new!

This is Deflemask Tracker, a multi-system tracker written by Delek, and it covers Sega Genesis, Master System, Nintendo Gameboy and more! I suggest you check it out here: http://famitracker.shoodot.net/forum/posts.php?page=1&id=1925&sort=

This is a cover of the Wily Fortress theme from Mega Man III (for Gameboy). Truly an awesome song. It's not 100% but it was a very fun and teaching way of learning the ins and outs of this new tracker.

  • I may be just nitpicking because I'm sick, but shouldn't your lead wave be a 12.5% then a 50%?

  • @DeLe1000

A drumkit, in terms of LSDJ, is a set of WAV-channel samples used generally for drums, effects, and vocal clips, not noise patterns. Making noise envelopes is a task for the producer, not the developer.

A table, in LSDJ terms, is basically a tracker window, except locked to 1 tick, and used exclusively for effects, transposing, and volume enveloping. Look at the LSDJ manual for more detail.

And by waveform synthesization, I mean direct editing of simple waveforms (saw, tri, etc.)

  • Nice! Love it!

  • @ArchTV Could you go on?, because I never used LSDJ deeply, and I want to check if there are solutions in it that I can add to DefleMask.

What is a drumkit?, a bunch of noise envelopes I suppose?.

Complex effects using tables is like the GoatTracker table?, do you actually need this having envelopes for duty/arpeggio/volume?.

And what is "waveform synthesization"?, LSDJ is doing a basic type of FM synthesis with the WAVE channel or you are talking about changing the waveform?. Regards

  • @DeLe1000 With LSDJ's age, it's implemented features such as drumkits/vocal samples, complex effects using tables, powerful waveform synthesization, etc. that your tracker simply does not posess. I also feel more at-home with the song-chain-phrase hierarchy in LSDJ, allowing you to edit and reinstate patterns as you go and make each one's speed independent (e.g. WAV at 3 ticks, NOI at 6 ticks)... need I go on?

LSDJ got a head start, anyways, being developed in the early effin' noughties.

  • @ArchTV Could you please explain that a little more?, what is exactly the feature of LSDJ that DefleMask can't do?.

  • Why is this module so laggy for me

  • Does this program have the same... limitations?... as FamiTracker? Are you only limited to certain modules, or can you add or remove channels as you see fit?

  • @meckzdev go DIE mex LOL

  • Deflamask looks pretty awesome. Can it really track vgm music?
