These are some video clips I took at the first annual 100 Plus Years of Progress show in Carthage, North Carolina, 2006. The engines see here are the "40-140" HP Geiser Peerless Z3 and the "40-140" M. Rumely steam traction engines. The sandy North Carolina soil in this freshly harvested field put a damper on the plowing demonstration that year. The engines had plenty of power, but the entire gang plows literally sank in the sand.
